feeling seen: the aspects workshop + guidebook is here!

feeling seen is here!
Feeling Seen is a collaboration between fellow astrologer Kira Ryberg and yours truly, and it’s all about aspects.
We made a comprehensive resource that will teach you everything you need to know to interpret aspects confidently. Aspects are the stumbling block for a lot of people as they learn astrology but the truth is aspects are what make a chart come together. Once you really get aspects, astrology gets less overwhelming. Aspects turn a pile of data and disparate placements into a nuanced, specific story. That’s what we teach in Feeling Seen.
Feeling Seen has two parts: a 3.5 hour pre-recorded workshop and a 160-page guidebook. You can get one or both, depending on how you learn best. We provide a lot of information but we don’t just list techniques. Every time we give you more to chew on, we have prompts to help you integrate it. We have step-by-step summaries and our most in-depth to date example charts show you how we do it all in practice.
the background: why did we make this thing
Kira and I talk most days, and a few months ago we started to notice a pattern. Our clients and mentees were bringing up how confused they were by aspects. So often we’d hear people say, “I get the planets, the signs, and the houses mostly — but aspects is where I fall off. I have no idea.” We also were getting more comments on our social media posts and questions in our AMAs about aspects too.
I get it. Aspects took me the longest to understand of all the astrology fundamentals. Maybe it was because aspects sound like math and I’m not a math person. Maybe it’s because up until that point, the way I thought about astrology was about isolated placements: who is Venus in Gemini in the 10th house? Well, I can add what I know about Venus to what I know about Gemini to what I know about the 10th and I’m there, more or less. But if I zoom out at all and notice that Mars trines that Venus — what then? Well, trines are good, right? But Mars is bad? But Venus is good? It’s confusing!
So Kira and I were talking about how we’ve struggled with aspects, what made them click for us, and why aspects are so essential to our practice now. We talked about how aspects help us go beyond just describing someone’s life really well (which is helpful!) to actually addressing what’s going on (even more helpful!). In our nerdy excitement, we found ourselves returning to the older texts by astrologers like Vettius Valens and Firmicus Maternus (and I, who struggle to read the old texts, read a book by Maternus in a weekend like it was a beach read, I kid you not — aspects had me that obsessed).
We were having so much fun revisiting these not-so-basic basics and we realized we could make something that would make understanding aspects way, way easier. And because we loved collaborating on our last project, Finding Fulfillment, we wanted to do that together.
feeling seen
So we made Feeling Seen: The Aspects Workshop and The Aspects Guidebook. We want you to really get aspects. In traditional astrology, aspects are about sight. Aspects are about feeling seen, for better and for worse. Planets who can see each other can influence each other. What is that influence like? What does it mean for you?
Aspects might sound like math but aspects describe relationships: between the planets, between parts of yourself, between every person you know, and between the different parts of your life. So of course aspects can’t be “good” or “bad.” So little in life is like that. Aspects, if they are going to reflect your life, have to include power dynamics, resources, mixed bags, interruptions, catalysts, balancing acts — all of it — and they do! But all these different components don’t make astrology more confusing. They make it clearer, more specific, and more accurate. We can’t wait to show you.
release sale! until oct 19
To celebrate the release of Feeling Seen, the workshop and guidebook are both on sale until Saturday, October 19 at 11:59 PM PST! The workshop is $70 but on sale for $60 and the guidebook is $40 on sale for $35.
You can buy on my website or Kira’s website, it doesn’t matter.1
should you get the workshop, the guidebook, or both?
The workshop and the guidebook cover similar material. We made them both so we could cover everything we wanted to cover while catering to different learning styles. If you’re someone who learns best via video/audio, then the workshop is for you. If you’re someone who learns best by reading, then the guidebook is for you. The guidebook is designed to be the perfect companion to the workshop, so you can easily reference what you learned in the workshop itself. Get both or the one that suits you best!
what’s covered in feeling seen?
Feeling Seen explores each of the traditional aspects, how to interpret them, and all of the nitty-gritty details that can alter how an aspect manifests. We help you see the planets as characters and the aspects as relationships between these characters so that the chart transforms from a static image into a vibrant story.
Both the workshop and the guidebook cover:
The Planets Themselves
The Impact of Sect
How to Identify Aspects
The Difference Between Sign & Degree-Based Aspects
Applying and Separating Aspects
Conjunctions, Sextiles, Squares, Trines, Oppositions, and Aversions
Combustion, Cazimi, and Under the Beams
Power Dynamics: Overcoming, Reception, and More
Every Planetary Pair: Their Agreements and Disagreements
How To Integrate Aspects into Chart Interpretation
Summary Page / Questions To Ask Yourself When Interpreting Aspects
In-Depth Example Charts: Monica Lewinsky and David Lynch
And the guidebook has an appendix on bonification and maltreatment as a bonus.
I really want to highlight the planetary pairs section because this was Kira’s idea and it’s a stroke of genius. Kira and I were talking about the first thing we do when interpreting aspects is think about the two (or more) planets involved and where they, at a baseline, agree and disagree. Kira suggested we give you every single planetary pair combination and their agreements and disagreements, so we did! It’s such a good starting place for any aspect delineation.
We wanted to be so thorough but we also know part of what makes aspects confusing is how easy it is to get overwhelmed. So after we cover all you see above, we also give you a quick “here are the steps to go through and questions to ask yourself when you interpret aspects.” We don’t just walk you through all the details and leave you to integrate it yourself, promise.
One more brag about Kira: I was blown away by her Monica Lewinsky chart interpretation (which includes a prominent trine that is not all good news! such a good example!). If I didn’t already know astrology works, what Kira does with Lewinksy’s chart and its aspects would make me a believer. I had such a good time writing the David Lynch example too. His exact Mars-Saturn conjunction in Cancer is what pulled me in, and even though I move all around the chart, that conjunction never really lets go. You’ll see!
We’re so proud of this work, and thrilled to share it with you.
If you have any questions about Feeling Seen, email me. Today, we’ll be doing AMAs today on our respective Instagram accounts too (Kira’s over at @kiraryberg and I’m at @maeg.thirdsister).
Beaming,
Maeg
You may notice the pricing on Kira’s website is in euros because she’s in France, and because the pricing on my website is in dollars because I’m in the U.S. It’s the same amount of money! We adjusted for the exchange rate.
